Written by While Nigerians are yet to unravel the mystery behind the famous fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), which was headed by Adeyemi Matthew, the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission has uncovered another fake government agency operating withing the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, (OSGF), sparking more concerns about fake government agencies operating in Nigeria.
The agency identified as the National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Special Projects Office was alloted office space withing the OSGF.
According to information from the website of the organisation, the organisation has a substantial administrative structure that includes a national coordinator, zonal directors, 20 state coordinators and representatives in the United States and China.
The organisation’s Executive Director/ National Coordinator is listed as George Buchi Nwabueze. George Buchi Nwabueze, was discovered to be the major promoter of the fake organisation, and he operated under different varaitions of his name, such as George Buchi Nwabueze, Prince George Buchi Nwabueze, George Nathan, George Nathan Nwabueze, Hon. George Buchi Nwabueze, George Nwabueze.
The president has ordered the immediate arrest of the said executive director, George Buchi Nwabueze.
The scandal with the fake agency has also led to the suspension of three Permanent secretaries in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. President Tinubu suspended them for possible involvement in the allocation of office space to the Agency. They are The scandal has already resulted in disciplinary action at the highest levels of the federal civil service.
