Written by Alirate Wahab, a mother of one of the 20 prospective National Youth Service Corps members abducted in Imo state has narrated her ordeal during the period her son was kidnapped.
Speaking during an interview with News Central, Mrs. Alirate said her family borrowed money and got donations from friends and relatives to raise N6 million naira for the release of her son.
She said the kidnappers had earlier demanded N50 million for the release of her son, but later reduced the ransome to N6 million after much pleading.
